NDIS

National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is a government-funded program that provides support for individuals with a permanent and significant disability (i.e. Intellectual impairment, Autism Spectrum Disorder etc.). The program allows individuals to have more control over their support and the way it is delivered. There are three different ways to access the NDIS: NDIA-managed, plan-managed, and self-managed.

NDIA-managed is the most basic option, and it means that the NDIA will manage all aspects of the individual’s support plan. The NDIA will arrange and pay for the services and supports outlined in the individual’s plan. We do not currently accept NDIA managed clients.

Plan-managed means that the individual’s support plan will be managed by a third-party provider. The provider will arrange and pay for the services and supports outlined in the individual’s plan, but the individual will still have more control over the services they receive and when they receive them.

Self-managed means that the individual will manage all aspects of their support plan. The individual will be responsible for arranging and paying for the services and supports outlined in their plan. This option is best for individuals who have significant experience managing their own support and who want the most control over the services they receive and when they receive them.

It’s important to note that choosing a self-managed option will require more time and effort to manage the funds, plan and report to NDIS, but will give you more flexibility and control over your support. It is also important to consult with a support coordinator to ensure that the plan is tailored to your specific needs.

We currently accept plan-managed and self-managed NDIS clients only.
